Social isolation and loneliness have been deemed by the research community as “a growing health epidemic.” The effects of loneliness far surpass what we originally thought to be true and have a far reaching effect on our emotional and physical health.
Join the Community Education team from Vancouver Island Crisis Society for an informative three-hour workshop that will explore the physiology of loneliness, six types of loneliness, the impacts of loneliness on emotional and physical health, loneliness and suicide, and how to alleviate loneliness in ourselves and others.
If you are interested in having us present The Effects of Loneliness and Social Isolation on Health, please contact us at 250-753-2495, toll free at 1-877-753-2495, or via email at info@vicrisis.ca.
