Unlocking Support Together:
A Key Livestream for Crisis Line Awareness Week 2024
Crisis Line Awareness Week took place from March 25 to 29 in 2024, and Vancouver Island Crisis Society invited visitors to participate in a livestream event in honour of this special week.
We answered questions in real time and provided information about the many services crisis lines provide to our Island communities and how to access them.
The recorded event permits viewers to learn more about how crisis lines can support their mental health in order to navigate personal, community, or work-related challenges.
We'll also introduced and explored the new 9-8-8 access number, and how it streamlines the process for seeking help in times of crisis.
In an ever-changing world, it can be comforting to know crisis lines are here and that we care. We offer a wide range of services – from non-judgemental listening and support, to immediate crisis response, community resource information, or simply, a compassionate voice on the other end of the line.
This session provided viewers with knowledge and highlighted the opportunity to utilize a supportive community resource in enhancing mental health and well-being.
Ono March 26, 2024, our Community Awareness Coordinator, Neil Cutler, presented an interactive YouTube discussion about our services. You can choose to view from this direct YouTube link.
