Fundraising Goal for 2020-21 is $50,000
Our fundraising goal was exceeded by more than $10,000 in the past fiscal year. The Vancouver Island Crisis Society is very thankful to all those who contributed to support our youth suicide prevention programs and our Crisis Chat and Crisis Text services.
This year, our fundraising goal is even more important for supporting our programs and services. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in our having to rely more on our employees rather than our volunteers, while we continue to experience higher call, chat, and text volumes. Your donations this year will help us continue to support people — especially those struggling with high levels of anxiety and depression due to social isolation.
In addition to your generous donations, we are thankful to Island Health for its contract funding of our Crisis Line operation. Funding from BC Gaming supports our varied Community Education programs.
Please see our Donation Request Letter for this fiscal year. It includes a detailed listing of the number of interactions and interventions which occurred in our 2019-2020 fiscal year.
Our heartfelt thanks
for your financial support and your fundraising efforts.
